Since its creation, the Marine collection combines the traditional Breguet values with a modern sporty design.
The round stepped case is in 18K yellow gold, with a fluted band, a rounded stepped bezel secured to the case by four internal screws, a solid case back secured by 6 screws, typical straight gold screw-in lugs, a protected crown with the characteristic shape, that is engraved with the house’s name and a gold Breguet deployant clasp.
Under the sapphire crystal glass, a superb two-tone hand-guilloche silvered gold dial with painted radial Roman numerals, an aperture for the date at 6, and an outer beady minute division. We also find the famous blued steel Breguet hands, so called “pomme” hands, because of the apple shape, a blued steel sweep center second.
The watch is powered by a caliber 889/2, based JLC, mechanical, self-winding with an 21k gold rotor. The retail price in 2000 was approx 16’800.- CHF
Condition: 9.5/10, in extremely good overall condition, only some light signs of wear on the case back. The leather strap is like new.
